So where exactly are we at right now? Have we ditched the hypochondriac scenario for something more Morgan oriented?

Chance...Morgan...Jimmy...

Perpetrator...Rescuer...Victim...

Drama Triangle, anyone?

I really think we should stick with the hypochondriac story. I think the sugar pill is a funny ending. I don't think he is being tricked in a bad way. Sometimes our heros need to learn a lesson and this is Chance's lesson.

I don't have a problem with the hypochondriac story, but maybe we can use at least some of the time over the next couple of days to explore another option. It's getting down to the wire so we need to work fast. That said, I don't really know where to go. Spencer and Stu - what are you leaning toward right now?

I must admit I felt at a loss for blogging this week. Not much response here, either. I guess we really didn't know where to go, or what exactly needed to be worked out for the remaining stories.

It also occurred to me that we could've been mentioning ideas about the three scripts we took home. But I guess we'll get to them in class tomorrow. I hope the remaining two are at least getting into draft, if not done and on draft two notes.

It's already amazing what we've accomplished this semester, I think. And the reality is that there will likely only be a portion of these nine produced in the spring, mainly due to budgetary restraints. So the rest may have to wait for the fall anyway.

Well, see y'all in class! Can't wait for the last couple classes to wrap things up! The season read-through on the last day should be fun!

I usually just read and comment on what others say, but there’s not much to run on. It’s not surprising, it is finals after all. I don’t know, I’m not on board for tricking Chance. This is like episode six or something like that. If he can’t figure his own deal by now he needs to be taken out back and put out of his misery.

Another writing teacher said something to me that makes sense, and it’s something I always try to put in characters I create. He said, “People like characters with talent.” That’s to say no matter their flaws, they at least do something well, and that thing is what will endear them to us.

Does Chance have any talents? No, going to school perpetually does not count as talent, unless you count his talent for getting school loans. Having crisis after crisis doesn’t count as talent. I dare say getting dumped, and just learning to live with the fact that he’s a mediocre boyfriend is not talent. I dare say Chance has not talent. But I could be wrong, can someone name a Chance talent for me. I’m also not being snide or sarcastic; I really just want to know. Honestly, I think he has none.

Maybe we should give him one.

I think that given Chance's nature, he wouldn't have a specific talent. He doesn't stick with anything long enough to master it.

But...

Instead of being really good at one thing, he's just kind of good at several. He's not completely lacking in talent.

But can you name those several things? Is he slightly good any anything? That’s what I wanted an answer to. I’m not arguing weather he should good at one thing or many things, I’m saying at this point in time can Chance do a single thing but walk and chew gum.
