Let's discuss how their relationship changes.
PART of the progression includes:
Chance sees Morgan as the enemy for "stealing" Carly.
In the webisode Chris is writing, Chance still thinks of Morgan as the enemy when she doesn't think the girl he's hitting on is right for him. At the end of the story, Chance realizes that Morgan was trying to do him a favor, and that she can read women better than Jimmy. Chance offers to buy Morgan a non-fat frappy.
Chance is going through tough times financially, and Morgan is looking for a new apartment (after she and Carly don't go through with the wedding.) Chance and Morgan become roommates...UNLESS...they become friends, but not necessarily roommates.
Think about it. Talk about it. Blog about it.

Initially, I wanted Chance and Morgan to start out as friends.
But seeing how it has developed naturally, I like how Chance and Morgan go from 'enemies' to 'friends'.
I don't think they actually need to become roommates, no reason to force it. But if an eposide could add that in, it would be nice.
I say, let them develop this friendship naturally, and also develop the rivalry (for Chance's 'affections') between Morgan and Jimmy.
I think this Chance/Morgan relationship can help to propel the season forward. Especially when we take into consideration the Jimmy/Morgan rivalry factor. They are in competition for Chances attention, as well as who will influence him their way. That seems to have tons of potential. Jimmy always eggs Chance on to do the hedonistic thing, and Morgan is more a voice of conscience and reason (and social responsibility). Isn't that part of what the show's about?
Maybe the arc is more about Chance coming around to maturing into someone more responsible. He has been under the influence of Jimmy for a long time. Now Morgan comes along, and tries to talk some sense into him on a myriad of issues that come up. Jimmy can then feel his buddy is slipping away, and being replaced by a pansy under the influence of a lesbian. It seems to have legs, but I think we need to explore it more. It was one of the fundamental components of the original idea we pitched.
It might help us all to refer back to the pitch notes and leave behind, because these concepts are nothing new to us. We just need to keep them in mind when we break stories and go to drafts.
What is most important in this budding friendship is that both of Chance's friends have his best interest in mind - Morgan may not like Summer because of her fur coat but she should be more upset that he is dating someone with such a loud disregard for morality. As the show goes on, we should find that Chance relates mutually to both of his friends, a sort of ying and yang.
Early in the show the animosity around the Carly situation would be the repellent, but as the breakup grief fades, Morgan will continue to reveal herself a noble and outspoken human, traits to be admired and befriended.
I think making them roommates would help - the apartment is one of our two main sets and we spend very little time there, I think if two of our three characters lived there we could find more opportunity and reason to explore the space, a good thing.
Um, I kind of agree with what’s being said so I guess I’m just posting for the sake of posting. With that said I think it would be funny if Chance gave living with Jimmy a shot. Obviously it doesn’t work out; perhaps Jimmy’s lifestyle is too much for him? It could be an angle.
I say this because I think viewers will be curious why Jimmy and Chance who are supposed to be best friends wouldn’t give moving in a try first. It could also be really funny. We can also set up the Morgan thing.
